Getting Started
Welcome to Image Optimizer Pro
Image Optimizer Pro is a powerful, browser-based tool that helps you compress and optimize your images while maintaining quality. All processing happens locally in your browser - no files are uploaded to any server.
Adding Images
Method 1: Drag & Drop
Simply drag image files from your computer and drop them anywhere in the blue drop area. You'll see a visual highlight when files are ready to be dropped.
Method 2: File Selection
Click the "Select Files" button to open your file browser and choose images manually. You can select multiple files at once.
Compression Settings
Output Format
Choose your preferred output format:
- JPG: Best for photographs, offers good compression
- WebP: Modern format with excellent compression
- PNG: Best for images with transparency
Quality vs Size Threshold
Use the tabs to switch between compression methods:
- Quality Mode: Set a specific quality percentage (1-100%)
- Size Threshold: Set a maximum file size target
File Management
Preview & Organization
After adding files, you can:
- Drag & Drop: Reorder files by dragging them
- Select Files: Use checkboxes to select specific files
- Delete: Remove individual files or selected batches
- Compare: Click any processed file to see before/after comparison
Batch Operations
Use the action buttons for efficient workflow:
- Process All Files: Compress all uploaded images
- Compress Selected: Only process checked files
- Download All: Download all compressed files
- Download Selected: Download only checked files
Download Options
Individual vs ZIP Download
Choose how you want to download your optimized images:
- Individual Files: Each file downloads separately with original names
- ZIP Archive: All files combined into a single ZIP file (for multiple files)
